Supersweetums 1,164 Posted June 9, 2013 I am just over 2.5 years post op, and sometimes we forget how far we have come. Lately I have been struggling a little with body image and my head and NSV's elude me. While the other day, I did something that I never thought I would be able to do. I was at the playground with my children and decided to give the monkey bars a whirl. I am 34 years old and have NEVER been able to go across monkey bars, not even as a child (my weight struggles began in Kindergarten). With some determination, I crossed the monkey bars!! I thought my arms were going to fall off afterwards and I may have pulled a muscle, but I still did it! 17 bethxxx, sarsar, clk and 14 others reacted to this

Supersweetums 1,164 Posted June 22, 2013 Congrats! Love your profile pic too - your arms look like the could give Michelle Obama's a run! Lynda Thanks Lynda! It is funny, because I am most self conscious of my arms. If I actually held them up, you could see my wings flapping in the breeze! And I think it comes from lifting my kids all the time (6yrs and 3.5yrs) because I don't lift weights, ever! 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted July 1, 2013 It is fantastic when we recognize NSV's. Plus this is something that you could never accomplish as a youngster too! BTW if I raise my arms too, I have a lot of skin hanging that I call my bat wings....... LOL Keep it up I realized the other day i like it when men look at my body now...... Never did before.
