BrittNicole 12 Posted June 9, 2013 I'm having surgery Tuesday (so excited!!!) and was kind of wanting to have a 'celebration drink' tonight. Only one of course, but I'm afraid to. Anybody else in the same boat?
jacquelynn.mclean 103 Posted June 9, 2013 Don't risk it...it isn't worth it. Save the drink for your goal weight.

*susan* 1,709 Posted July 10, 2013 It is generally recommended that you not drink alcohol for one week prior to weight loss surgery. After your surgery, your liver may become extremely sensitive. Because alcohol damages the liver and is considered a toxin, you could be setting yourself up for pain and further liver damage by drinking during the week before your surgery. mamamareli 144 Posted July 14, 2013 How much and how often are you guys drinking? I'm 9 weeks out and I'm drinking pretty often, but not a lot each time 1-2 drinks. How did drinking affect your weight loss.

I'm not sure if I should be losing more. My doctor says I'm right on track
