This will be my first trip to an amusement park since my surgery in February. Does anyone have any tips on eating at Disney or eating at amusement parks in general? I am a little anxious about riding the rides. The last time I was there the lap bar would not close on one of the roller coasters because of my belly was getting in the way and I felt like my son was going to fall out and I had to put my arm over him so that I felt he would be safe. Wish me luck.

Every Disney restauant and counter service has childrens meals that can be bought by adults. Some are really good.

I just got back from Disney a few weeks ago. I was 5 months post-op. I was worried about how I would eat there as well! I had nothing to worry about, though. Here are my tips:

* You can pre-order any special food you'll need from Garden Grocer to keep in a refrigerator in your hotel room. They deliver to all Disney hotels. I ordered cottage cheese, string cheese, diet Jell-o and the flavored water I like.

* I found that all Disney restaurants will grill chicken for you. You just have to ask. I had grilled chicken every day and was able to get my Protein in that way.

* I found that all ice cream vendor carts in the Disney parks sell Edy's no-sugar-added strawberry fruit bars. They only have 50 calories.

* I brought my own Protein Bars with me.

* I brought along sugar-free oatmeal packets and had that for Breakfast every day. I stayed at one of the hotels with a "food court" in the lobby (Art of Animation resort). I got the hot Water for the oatmeal at the beverage station.

* Most restaurants (and the hotel food courts) had fresh fruit/vegetables available.

* I brought along Starkist tuna in pouches. I got the one called "Tuna salad - Sandwich Ready". It has 90 calories and 10 grams of protein and was easy to carry into the parks. I also brought crackers to eat with it.

I was in Disney for a week and actually lost 7 pounds! And this was my first trip where I was able to actually fit through the turnstiles!

Have a magical vacation! :)

Another tip is that you can get free cups of ice Water from any counter service or snack cart that sells soda. Just walk up and ask.

They don't mind if you bring in your own food at all...just don't like glass bottles.< /p>

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
