I have a question for you sleevers out there. How do you keep track of your Fluid intake? I was sleeved May 23rd and since then I keep a notepad and pen with me at all times. I tally every ounce of fluid that I have. Anyone else do this? Anyone have any other ways that they keep track?

Two things, I have a Water bottle that has the amount of liquid it holds (32oz), I know that I have to drink 3 of those a day....

I also use myfitnesspal to log food and drink. Once you get in the habit, it get super easy...there's an app for that. :)

My stalker-nutritionist says no, that Protein drinks should be counted only as Protein, so to keep her off my case I don't count that as Fluid. If I use a protein shot and mix it with Powerade, then I count it both.

I have a bottle that has ozs on it. I feel it up and drink it through out the day. It only goes up to 25 ozs so I have to refill it . I also keep of with what I have eaten that day and take into account about how much fluids that would be to.

Yes I include my Protein drinks. I actually write down everything I put into my mouth.

I tally by 4 oz drinks... And I count Protein Shakes (cause that's what my NUT said). Funny how different they all are...

I use a calorie counter Bracelet. It has round beads on it and a charm that I move past each bead for every 4 ounces I drink. It has a heart bead in the middle and that is my starter bead. It really helps me :-)

I use Myfitnesspal.com and it's great. I have the app on my phone, too, so it's always with me.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
