jmarie 71 Posted June 7, 2013 2weeks post op. How long was it before y'all got to start eating again?
BlessedBeyondMeasure2012 296 Posted June 7, 2013 I got to start on soft foods (Mostly eggs, cheese and refried beans) when I was two weeks out. I gradually added more and more every two weeks. My doc has a slow advancement of foods. I still have instructions on when to add certain foods out to 12 weeks. Most people are released to eat a "normal" diet at 6 weeks post op. It all depends on your doc/NUT. What do they have to say? 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this

HatheryOnHerWay 603 Posted June 7, 2013 Wow, smushies! That's a new stage I haven't heard before!
Vixynne 695 Posted June 7, 2013 I'm gonna guess that mushies would be things that are a little firmer than purées, and smushies a little harder than that? I'd like to know which foods fit into the mushy/smushy categories, though!

JessicaAnn 564 Posted June 7, 2013 My doctor isn't too conservative. He has us starting with purée 2 days after surgery for 4 weeks, then regular food.< /p> 1 belladona reacted to this
