SleevedinOhio 0 Posted July 10, 2013 Surgery date 5/22 Pre-op weight 364.5 Day of surgery 347 Weight today 322 Loss 42.5 So happy with the sleeve! Have had no intolerances with very little pain or discomfort and have followed doctor's orders to a "T". Started weight training at the gym last week and will start Water aerobics next week. Had my 6 week post-op appt on the day following a 3 day stall only to discover that I wasn't eating enough. I was getting the Protein and Water in but only 600 calories. Nutritionist explained how important it is to take in calories with appropriate carbs and fat to loose weight. After adding whole wheat flat-out bread, whole wheat pitas and whole wheat skinny Buns to my diet (along with veges) and increasing calories to 1,000 I have lost 6 lbs this week. I don't expect it to continue at that rate but it sure feels good! My husband was sleeved 3 wks after me and he is doing well. I will be glad when we can eat the same things though! Good luck to all. Keep the motivation coming!
