Ana87 15 Posted June 5, 2013 I have been up reading post on this forum... NOT such a good since it seems a lot of people are having a rough time. I am leaving for the hospital in an hour or so. SMO 193 Posted June 5, 2013 The vast majority of people have uneventful surgeries. I did. You will get through the next few days and in a couple of months, won't remember the discomfort except vaguely. Just stay positive and be excited about the new you coming soon! I an 4 months out and down from 257 to 202. ( that includes pre-surgery loss). I feel awesome and I am not hungry. This was the smartest thing I ever did. Ft.Worth Frank 10 Posted June 5, 2013 I agree with SMO. I had mine Friday 5/31 and I thought the same thing Saturday and Sunday but since Monday morning it has gotten a lot better.
aquitenonnymouse 206 Posted June 5, 2013 It will go fine! Just go in with a positive attitude... and maybe don't eat the Jello. To me, it was gross.
jtower97 28 Posted June 5, 2013 I had my sleeve done one week ago today. I did fine! Good luck! Walk around the hospital as soon as you feel up to it, it really does help.

JerseyGirl68 1,172 Posted June 5, 2013 I agree with the other posters, the majority of surgeries do not have complications. And when you read about them, it can get overwhelming. Best of luck to you!! Best advice I received and took was to walk around as much as as soon as you can. Congratulations!!

Ft.Worth Frank 10 Posted June 5, 2013 The walking part is true I had surgery at 7:30 am Friday and I left the hospital at 3:30 pm on Saturday and the nurse said it was because I walked a lot.

Ana87 15 Posted June 8, 2013 Thank you everybody for your best wishes!!! This forum helped me keep sane and not lose my mind before the surgery. However, I honestly am surprised as to how smooth the surgery went. I was in little pain after, and was able to walk right away. I was discharged on Friday and I stopped drinking pain meds the day after the surgery. So far, no complains. I can't wait for my doctors appointment and see how much weight i've lost so far. I refuse to weight myself at home!!!
