Ft.Worth Frank 10 Posted June 5, 2013 I'm 5 days post op and I use a cpap machine and it has been bloating my sleeve so much I can't sleep. Could it be stretching my sleeve and causing leaks? Has anyone else go through this?
futureloser 190 Posted June 5, 2013 I have had no issues caused b my C Pap machine at all. Not sure how it could stretch your sleeve, but maybe you should contact your surgeon.
Ft.Worth Frank 10 Posted June 5, 2013 It probably isn't but it is crazy how much it hurts. I can't wait to be off of the cpap.
futureloser 190 Posted June 5, 2013 It probably isn't but it is crazy how much it hurts. I can't wait to be off of the cpap. I agree- had surgery in March. The doctor wants to wait until August and have another sleep test. I doubt I will get off- I have always had breathing issues at nigh, even when I was younger and thinner. I am 66 and a widow so no one has to see me wear it........at least for now LOL.
SMO 193 Posted June 5, 2013 I was off the CPAP at 8 days. It started waking me up blowing air with too much force. Maybe you need to see if you need a lower level now.
Ft.Worth Frank 10 Posted June 5, 2013 Same here...I've snored my whole life too. There is a dentist here in the metroplex that xrays your jaw and can tell if it is due to weight or an obstructed airway and he can make a mouthpiece that supposedly works. futureloser 190 Posted June 5, 2013 That's a good idea- my doctor told me to call him if I felt to much air or pressure. He was very concerned about that. My machine automatically regulates itself to the pressure I need- or at least it is supposed to.
Ft.Worth Frank 10 Posted June 5, 2013 Did you just lower your pressure or did you stop using it?
