water water everywhere, but not a drop to drink...

This isn't necessarily a sleever's issue of course, but this is my only online community where I can vent so, here goes ...

I am deployed, the male to female ratio is 10-1 and a lot of these guys are young and hard, if they aren't working they are working out. I watch them do pull ups in the weight hangar and my mouth waters. It has now been ... 5 week since I've had any intimacy and I really. really. REALLY. want. IT. They all stare at me, stare holes through me, undress me with their eyes - and take their time about it, but none of them approach me or take the initiative.

All those tanned muscles ... twitching biceps and corded forearms that could just lift me ... hmmmmm.

As a female out here, one must tread very carefully, it takes next to nothing to start gossip around here. And I thought I had put out some subtle yet distinct signs of flirtation, it seems like they flirt right back when they do actually talk to me, but they never take the next step. The longer I am here without, the better looking they get, we call this "deployment goggles".

I am with you Globe..I don't know about anyone else..but omg I have become a total horn dog since surgery. My boyfriend and I always had a very healthy sex life before but now I think I am totally out of control..not sure if it is the hormones or what!

I say you take the situation under control..find a hottie that will keep his mouth shut and um get down to some cardio :)

THE DRY SPELL IS OVER!!!! Found a hottie, another civilian like myself. Saw him, knew what I wanted, made it happen. Now the frustrating part, there's no place we can be alone together! We both share huts with a lot of other people and no men are allowed in the womens hut and vice versa. His is a little easier to handle because his room actually has walls that go up to the ceiling so if he sneeks me in, it's manageable. But I can't risk falling asleep because I can't risk doing the morning walk o' shame. But still, finally!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
