skyeblu79 0 Posted December 22, 2006 Just wondering what you all think. I am not a fan of Rosie or Donald. I used to like them both, but in the recent years I don't really favor either. It's a shame that grown people are acting like this.
skyeblu79 0 Posted December 22, 2006 Here is an article: The Donald, Rosie Escalate Their Feud Posted: Today at 3:11 p.m. Updated: Today at 5:40 p.m. NEW YORK — Things got even uglier Thursday in the bitter war of words between Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell. The Donald called the Los Angeles-based morning show "Good Day L.A." to sound off on O'Donnell's remarks about his near-firing of Miss USA Tara Conner. "Maybe she wanted to put the crown back on Miss USA's head," the real-estate mogul said of the openly gay O'Donnell, who has four children with her partner, Kelli. "I think she's very attracted to Miss USA so she probably wanted to put the crown on her head herself." Insult No. 2: "She is a very, very unattractive woman who really is a bully." Insult No. 3: "Ultimately, Rosie is a loser, and ultimately ("The View") will fail because of Rosie. ... Barbara (Walters) made a mistake and let me tell you something, Barbara's a good friend of mine. She cannot stand Rosie O'Donnell." It all started when O'Donnell, co-host of the ABC morning talk show "The View," blasted Trump on Wednesday's show. She said Trump's news conference with Conner, whose title was in jeopardy because of underage drinking, had annoyed her "on a multitude of levels" and that the twice-divorced Donald had no right to be a "moral compass" for the beauty queen. "He inherited a lot of money," she said. "Wait a minute, and he's been bankrupt so many times where he didn't have to pay. ... I just think that this man is sort of like one of those, you know, snake oil salesmen in 'Little House on the Prairie.'" Trump fired back later Wednesday in a TV interview, calling O'Donnell a "slob," among other insults. "I never went bankrupt, but she said I went bankrupt. So probably I'll sue her because it would be fun. An amused O'Donnell talked about Trump's comments with her co-hosts on Thursday's edition of "The View." "Wasn't that a fun night of viewing? ... Look who's here today: Kelli. I was afraid to leave her home in case somebody with a comb-over came and stole her from me," she said. In an entry posted Wednesday night on her Web site, O'Donnell duplicated an excerpt on Trump's rocky financial history from his biography on the online encyclopedia Wikipedia, which is written by users. She wrote: "i will let you know if the donald sues me/or if kelli leaves me for one of his pals/don't u find him charming." Walters, who created the "The View," and executive producer Bill Geddie are standing by O'Donnell - and Trump. "Both Rosie and Donald are high-spirited, opinionated people. Donald has been a friend of `The View' for many years and Rosie, of course, is our enormously popular moderator. We cherish them both and hope the new year brings calm and peace," they said Wednesday in a statement. Trump, owner of the Miss Universe Organization, which includes Miss USA and Miss Teen USA, said Tuesday at a news conference that he would allow Conner to keep her title if she settled down and entered alcohol rehab. Conner tearfully admitted drinking as a minor at New York nightclubs. She turned 21 a day before the news conference.

bitteroldhag 0 Posted December 22, 2006 I absolutely hate Donald Trump. He inherited his money. His casino did go broke and he is the sort of prep-school bully that just disgusts me. I don't think the man has any ability. He just has money and a really big ego. I'm on Rosie's side. I think making a federal case out of underage drinking is silly. And when did Donald Trump become the arbiter of American beauty pageants? I can't imagine anyone worse. I think we should dump Trump.
beachgirl 2 Posted December 22, 2006 I agree. I don't like him a bit. I think he ought to keep his fat comments to hisself. He's not the best thing in the world to look at as far as I'm concerned.
Alexandra 55 Posted December 22, 2006 Bitteroldhag, I agree completely. We were talking about this in the office and someone was saying that Trump has every right--as a businessman--to be angry at Rosie. She is impugning his business by sayinng negative things about the Miss USA Pageant, and that's actionable in a way that just insulting him personally wouldn't be. My colleague was saying that the Trump name is really what Donald trades in--the reputation of class that that imparts. UGH. I would go OUT of my way to avoid anything with the Trump name on it because he is the absolute antithesis of class as far as I'm concerned. He's a joke and everyone seems to know it except him. barbara465 2 Posted December 22, 2006 I can't stand Trump. He was so insulting and he has now offended lots of people besides Rosie. Calling her fat and ugly, talking about her private life, etc. was just too much for me. If he sues her he will be making more of an a$$ of himself. I just hope she doesn't get fired from The View over this. She has been a little controversial in her new role. As an aside, I hadn't seen Rosie in a while. She definitely did look different, but what I noticed was her face is round. I wonder if she is taking some medication that is making it that way. It didn't look like it was caused from weight. Don't want to start any rumors here, but it just looked strange. Rock on Rosie!!
missy4gordon 0 Posted December 22, 2006 In my opinion..... What Rosie said that started the whole thing was that Donald should not be the moral compass for her. Guess what, he's not. He's her boss so to speak. He has every right to do what he did, he owns the title, the crown, the job. He can expect things of his "employee" and if she/he is not performing to his standards or whatever the case may be, he can fire them or do like he did, give her a second chance. Her behavior was unbecoming of her position. Now don't get me wrong, he shouldn't have gotten that personally nasty, but she did start the war of words. He just should have left the personal attacks out of it.
purtynailz@aol. 0 Posted December 22, 2006 It was a stunt to promote the Apprentice! It starts soon! Let the battles begin. LOL
Betsyjane 2 Posted December 22, 2006 I agree. Any publicity is good publicity. It's another Paris and Nicole thing. It's not real life. They'll probably make up on David Letterman during Sweeps week.
