How many have experienced loose skin after? My fat is all over and I worry about my arms the most post sleeve! Did anyone not have hanging skin and did some of you have cosmetic surgery yet?

I do have hanging skin on my arms but I can certainly live with it. I even go sleeveless now............I figure it's better than being fat! :)

I have some, work hard at working out. I am only 4+ mos out and I am told it will continue to tone for up to 2 years after surgery. I'd trade some loose skin for being 60+ lbs heavier! I do weight training, yoga, running/walking and some cardio classes- I TRY to worn out each day of the week. Good Luck!

I'm 4.5 months out and holding out no hope for my arms. Saving my pennies for an arm lift. Thankfully I work for plastic surgeons so maybe they'll cut me a good deal. ;)

Thinking I might be able to get insurance to cover tummy and thighs if they become a problem.

I'm six months out and I have loose skin on my arms, inner thighs, and tummy. It's not too bad. I too will get a lift eventually. I can always tell when I'm loosing more weight because it looks different. I'm living with it. I'm gonna be a skinny b***h damnit!!

Do not worry about the loose skin yet..... you will be amazed if you work out that the skin WILL shrink..... but you have to work it...... NOTHING COMES FREEEEEEEEEEEE Ü

Same here. Ive started lifting to try to fill the space up with muscle. So far i can tell theyre getting bigger but still dealing with loose skin.

I've been working out regularly for 2 months and it HAS helped, but I'm pretty sure I'd have to build arms like Hulk Hogan to fill up all my extra skin there. ;) Always been a problem area.

Along with my 4 week old sleeve and exercise, I'm going to try the body wraps by It Works to get these bat wings under control along with my excess, thanks to my babies, tummy flab. Check out http:/:cmomentphoto.myitworks.com if you want to try it with me. A tank top would be fantastic to go along with my 26 lb loss so far!!

I've been working out off and on for years and my arms have never been my problem area, now my thighs on the other hand have always been jiggly even when I was a fit teenager. I will definitely need a breast lift and Tummy Tuck. Hopefully all these years of working out will pay off once I lose all this weight and I will have minimal amounts of loose skin.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
