Fiddleman 4,376 Posted June 4, 2013 Yummy! Did you make that chicken skewer? Nope - courtesy of costco. Highly recommend these chicken skewers. Each one is about 10 g of Protein and is flavored with tasty herbs and spices.

Fiddleman 4,376 Posted June 4, 2013 Fiddle you have me hooked on apples and almond butter!!! This is my go to small Breakfast before the trainer or my afternoon snack!!! Those chicken skewers do they come frozen? They come out of the refrigerated section so, no, not frozen on purchase. I am not sure if they could be frozen or not. They need to be eaten in a reasonable amount of time. They are separated into 3 sections, 4 in each section. Once you open a section, that section should be eaten in 3-4 days. The unopened sections would last until their expiration date which I recall being one month.
Fiddleman 4,376 Posted June 4, 2013 Anyone know if the chicken skewers are in SAMs Club also? Not sure if SAMs has chicken skewers, but I do know they have yummy chicken teriyaki meatballs as does costco. Another alternative is 3 oz chicken sausages stuffed with cheese pieces and peppers or smoked apple flavor, etc. I lived on these 3 oz sausages for most of my post op because they were/are the perfect size for a meal. oldskoolsooz 24 Posted June 4, 2013 Wow these are some great ideas! I'm five weeks out and I'm still trying to get the eating right. I've been inhaling way too many calories..about 1,000+ a day. For snack I've been having individually packaged 2oz hummus from costco with two tablespoons of taziki yogurt&3 slices of roasted turkey from trader Joe's. I'm so going to try the fruit with almond butter and chicken skewer/sausages next! Tnx :-)

Fiddleman 4,376 Posted June 4, 2013 The chicken sausages' date=' are those from costco also??[/quote'] You would not believe how many different chicken sausage options there are at costco. There are so many different flavors. Choose one you like, but I do suggest picking one that is very low in carbs. Some of them are a little on the high side (around 10-12 carbs per sausage). The one I eat has 2 carb per sausage and 16 g Protein.
