Nope. I woke from surgery as if I had a good nap and could have got up and left. I felt as if I didn't have the surgery. By the time I left for the hotel I was on the go. Went shopping, sightseeing and stayed extra time to enjoy a MX and S Cailifornia vacation. Flew home to enjoy a skiing vacation (didn't ski), but I had no complaints in regards to surgery. Felt I could have returned to work when I got home, but I already took the time off so I enjoyed it

You MUST.. Walk walk walk the minute you wake up. This is the only thing that will make your gas pains go away. I didn't have any, but many do. I didn't realize I had a drain until I got up to walk.. So remember to be careful not to pull on it while turning or moving around.

I'm not sleeved but researching and trying to decide what I want to do. If I do I will be going to Mexico to Dr. Ponce to have the surgery. My friend had it done four months ago and she said that the staff and Trish was the best!!! Just have to way out the pros and cons. What was your starting weight? I live in Las Vegas Nevada.

I was the same way. Kept thinking and thinking and to be honest i wasn't even100% sure when they wheeled me to the OR. I am 5 days post op today and I feel fine, just a bit tired. But when it comes to experience with dr Ponce and trish- I would do it again in a heartbeat. I drove alone and trish was there every step of the way.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
