CarolinaLiving 5 Posted June 3, 2013 Hello All, It's been a minute since I was last on the site so I thought I would stop in and share my progress and latest discoveries. I'm now 4 months post-op and have lost about 50 pounds. I've been averaging about 2 pounds a week and so far any stalls I've encountered have not lasted longer than 2 weeks. The hair shedding started promptly at the 3 month point. Even though I knew it was coming, to visually see the amount of hair during washing raised my anxiety level. I was already taking 10mcg of Biotin but a friend suggested I add Zinc and I ramped up my Protein intake to about 90g. I'm not sure if it's made a difference but the shedding has definitely slowed, not as much in the comb, sink or on the floor. Because I get tired of Protein Shakes, I'm always looking for new products to try. Here are a few of my new favorites that I use as Snacks in between regular meals or on the go: OhYeah! Protein bar(Chocolate &Caramel tasted like a Snickers to me) - 190 cal, 15g protein, 4g sugar, 8g fat Pure Protein Bar (Chocolate Peanut Butter) - 200 cal, 20g protein, 2g sugar, 6g fat NEW whey Liquid Protein (grape, fruit punch) - 42g protein, 0 sugar, 0 fat (this product I found at GNC and comes in a 3.8 oz vial) I usually have to cut the taste with Water. Like it better than Isopure. Everyone keep up the good work!
