FindingElise 62 Posted June 3, 2013 My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, and "that time of the month" just started for me this afternoon. SIGH! I wasn't even due yet! I hope everyone else is spared the extra stress.
kchristian 64 Posted June 3, 2013 I had this same issue. Don't even give it a second thought! Just tell them at the hospital and they will give you those awesome gigantic pads pretty sure they deal with it all the time. FYI - don't freak out if you start bleeding MORE because of the blood thinner shots they will give you. It happened to me. Good luck!
avanti 92 Posted June 3, 2013 I'm sorry.. it is a pain as in it is really irritating and one more thing to worry about.. But no worries.. I had mine.. on the day of the surgery! and it was really awkward.. I did not know whom to tell at the hospital..and was nervous if they were going to postpone my surgery.. so well.. I ended up telling everyone I met.. including the guy that transported me from the changing room to the waiting room before surgery.. I am sure he was laughing hard inside.. or did not have a clue what I was blabbering about. The news spread like wildfire!!! after surgery.. in the recovery room.. I had to use the bathroom.. and the nurse said that I was not allowed to get up and will have to use a bed pan.. I protested.. and said.. I am having my periods.. I don't want you to see that! and she said with a grin.. "Oh honey... we know..!" made me wonder if i was spreading the news even under anesthesia.. My first ever surgery experience.. and was sure making waves.. 1 miss_cee85 reacted to this
