lauralee 2 Posted June 3, 2013 Hey everyone! I got my sleeve on may 23rd. I was 223 when I went in. One week later I lost 12 lbs, I'm starting to get frustrated because I haven't lost any more for almost a week. Is that normal? I wish I could go to the gym, but all I can do is walk. I feel fine, I have been back to work for a week now and I'm healing great.

kchristian 64 Posted June 3, 2013 Lauralee - the exact same thing happened to me. First week after surgery, lost like 10 lbs, then NOTHING for the next 7 days!! I was getting frustrated too until I talked to a friend who reminded me that my body is traumatized, freaking out, and healing. We get it in our minds that we are just going to lose lose lose - but I had to really have a talk with myself to not be frustrated or annoyed if the scale doesn't move every day. My second week I would actually gain a pound here and there. Think about it logically - there is NO WAY you are really not going to lose weight...I don't think you are cruising thru the Taco Bell drive through lol!!! Just be patient with your body and measure your inches!! I lost those when I wasn't losing weight Keep up the good work!
