QueenAmandy 5 Posted June 3, 2013 I am 9 days post op and a few days ago I started having VERY, VERY loose stools and gurgle tummy- now to the point that every time I have my liquids that I'm back in the bathroom. It's so bad that I'm sore - I know maybe tmi here but is this normal because my foods are liquid or is this diarrhea and maybe I should take something? I feel I'm in the bathroom all the time. LouiseC 1,031 Posted June 3, 2013 What are you drinking? Maybe you have developed an intolerance to lactose? This happened to me soon after surgery but it was temporary.
Sleevin'It 57 Posted June 3, 2013 My dr told me to have Imodium handy in case this happens. Call your dr office in the morning to make sure you can take some. Good luck and stay hydrated, as best you can.

hourglass 22 Posted June 3, 2013 I have only been drinking Water and crystal light, then Popsicles. That with Protein shakes. congrats on your surgery! i am 5 days post op as of today i am on the same diet with the addition of broth. it's all liquid. pretty much any time i have to go #1 #2 shows up as a plus1 to my bathroom party. using cottonelle freshwipes helps instead of toilet paper. just pat dry with the toilet paper and if all else fails, clean everything up really well and then use a little bacitracin back there. just a dab.
