jandrfprever32 6 Posted June 3, 2013 When can I stop sipping and drink like a normal person? I've been so thirsty for Water and it drives me nuts that I can only sip at it. Btw I'm 3 weeks post-op.
MystiGal 143 Posted June 3, 2013 You should probably just listen to your body. I am only 12 days post op and can take normal drinks of Water.< /p>
MIJourney 490 Posted June 3, 2013 I was less than 2 weeks out when i could start drinking liquids fairly normal again. Dr said it was fine as long as they were low or no cal liquids.
kiwi17 54 Posted June 3, 2013 It is so interesting how different we all are. I'm 6 weeks out and I'm still sipping. I know exactly how much I can take in a sip. If I go over, it hurts pretty bad.
nsquared 232 Posted June 3, 2013 Your body will tell you when it is ready to consume a greater amount of liquid at a time. It will either happily accept it or unceremoniously refuse to cooperate. 1 MIJourney reacted to this
gmanbat 5,889 Posted June 3, 2013 Early on I had a water bottle in my hand almost always. You can sip in a lot of liquid if you keep at it. The idea is to not put a lot of pressure on your recently stapled stomach. Taking it easy now will assure a good outcome.
glostaff 40 Posted June 3, 2013 I am 2 months out and I still can only take small sips without pain.
