I was in a pretty bad car accident memorial night. I have a huge ugly painful bruise across my pelvis area from the seatbelt... I was suppose to start my period around that time...I still haven't started. My question is; do you think the accident could have thrown off my cycle? ? I took a pregnancy test and its negative...obviously I'm going to the doctor about this, just figured I'd ask on here too.

I have no clue on whether the accident will affect your period or not but I think stress does? In any case I am sorry you were in an accident and got hurt, very scary! I hope you heal quickly!

Im with dma on that one.. I think that the stress of the accident would have a lot to do with it.. Everybody is different when it comes to stress.. our bodies all react differently.. and yes that could be a reason. but I would have it checked out by a dr anyways.. expecially since you have had surgery.. just to make sure nothing is wrong.. sorry to hear of your accident.. speedy recovery for you.. best of luck.

I haven't had surgery yet just recently been approved. I have been pretty stressed... tore my meniscus 3 weeks ago then the car accident. we'll see what happens.
