Nothing could have prepared me for this pain and discomfort! Feels like nothing will fit in my stomach, swallow and it does go down or bubbles back up.

I'm day 3 post op and experienced what you describe on day one. Today, things are much better. I find it helps me to sometimes stand when I drink and feel pressure - walking around when I feel pressure also helps. It is getting easier for me and I hope it does for you also. Protein is also easier for me, Dr days it's probably gravity as Protein is heavier. Although some folks are opposite. Hang in there, these ate the toughest days
