heatwhip 166 Posted May 31, 2013 Had my sleeve 5/22. Started pre op diet 1 week earlier. Have lost 26lbs since start of pre op diet. Why am I not happy with that? Shouldn't I be? After everything to get here I guess my brain expected my body to be at goal when I got out of surgery. Lol! I can't be the only one dealing with this.....right? yazzy 105 Posted May 31, 2013 Yeah wouldnt that be nice ,,have surgery and poof we are skinny the next day... but it doesnt work that way unfortunetly. I am out 10 weeks and down 38 pounds ... i am a slow loser when i compare myself to some people on this board , But its my body and I am proud of my loss and it may give my skin a chance to catch up so maybe that is a big blessing. You are doing great!!!! Be proud and keep up the good work ... We will get there !!!!!! 1 eyengo reacted to this
Athinnerme 26 Posted May 31, 2013 I agree with Yazzy. You're going to do it; just not over night. LOL
Nicolanz 1,484 Posted May 31, 2013 Yes! It's normal to feel that way. I know I did. After all we've been through, it'd be nice to have immediate results! It took me a few months to just relax and let my body do its thing. Now I'm almost 7 months out and 80 pounds down. I still have 50-60 to go but I'm enjoying the transformation. I try to forget about the sleeve itself and just focus on becoming healthy.
