christieouchley 55 Posted May 31, 2013 Sleeve date was 04/29 and my weight was 256. I have lost 20 lbs, but none in the past week and a half. Im getting no more that 700 calories a day, and am getting all my liquids in. I exercise just about every day. Any suggestions? I just expected to loose a little more than this in 5 weeks. beba238 123 Posted May 31, 2013 I am 10 weeks out and down 32lbs. Your body is still adjusting. Try contacting your nutritionist. I have hit several stalls. I try to eat every 2 hours and drink as much liquid as possible. Everyone is different. at 5 weeks i was only 17lbs down. Believe me the slower the better. Don't get discouraged my starting weight was 265 and I know that without the sleeve I would have been somewhere in the 270s already. Good Luck!
christieouchley 55 Posted May 31, 2013 Yes I have no doubt I would still be wallowing in misery if I hadn't intervened. I am so much happier now,and with the 23 lbs gone I can't believe how much energy I have. You just hear that the bulk of your weight loss will happen in the first six months, and you'll never loose as much as you did the first month so I'm a little dissapointed. I'm down 20 pounds (not including pre-op loss) so we are quite similar in loss in close to the same amount of time. I get about 545-600 calories a day pretty consistently. I eat 3 meals a day and no snacking per the dietician. I haven't exercised in 2 weeks because of some incisional pain and fatigue, but will get back into it soon. You should talk to your nutritionist to see what they have to say, but you sound like you are on the right track.
