Ms.Cali 56 Posted May 30, 2013 I had surgery in Dec at 237 pound. My foot size was 8.5. Now I'm down to 179 and I'm wearing an 8. Open toe shoes I fit in 7.5.

Andi 78 Posted May 30, 2013 I've heard of it happening very frequently. I wish that it was happening to me! Size 11 is a bummer. I've always had a hard time finding clothes & shoes that fit me! 1 Tiffanyhoneybee reacted to this
awifeinmichigan 233 Posted May 30, 2013 Great Question! I would really like to know the answer to this from some of the Vets on here. I have a lot of High Steppers (High Heel Shoes) that I really do not want to part with. Unless this will give me a reason to replenish my shoe closet. Ummmmmmmm
awifeinmichigan 233 Posted May 31, 2013 Yes, my feet shrunk from 8.5 wide to an 8......My shoes kept falling off..... Well I guess my DH is going to have to replenish my shoe closet. Boiling over with excitement, but I am sure he won't be. LOL!
prettylittleheart 95 Posted May 31, 2013 Yes, I'm 3 months out, shoe size has definitely changed from a 9.5 to a very loose 8.

LaBelle509 326 Posted May 31, 2013 I went from a size 12W to size 11! I had to buy new shoes within six weeks of having surgery. 1 DonRodolfo reacted to this
Vixynne 695 Posted May 31, 2013 This makes me SO happy. I'm sick of never being able to wear truly gorgeous "eff me" shoes (sorry, it's what I've always called them), because they never seem to come in wide withs! 3 nanaspez, awifeinmichigan and deedeemuffin reacted to this
deedeemuffin 346 Posted May 31, 2013 Yup. They sure do. I hadn't worn my dress shoes until almost 2 months after I was sleeved. I got dressed, put on my shoes (Yes, I only have 1 pair of dress shoes lol) and they were flopping on my feet. It was too late to stop & try to find a new pair. I was walking up the stairs at the event I went to & I literally stepped right out of my shoe!
DaFierce1 71 Posted May 31, 2013 Ur losing the fat in ur feet as well.. The fatter they are or get the bigger size you will need... When i was pregnant mine went up to a size 9 from a 7 1/2, afterwards I went down to a 8 1/2 & as I continued to lose weight, Im finally back down to my 71/2s... aquitenonnymouse 206 Posted May 31, 2013 Me too! I started as a 12B, and I just bought a 10B that fits (dress shoes). I think in some shoes I'm a 10.5, because lots of the 10s were too small, but the 11s were too big. Easier to find shoes, but not simple yet! I wish 10.5 was a common size for dress shoes, but I could not find 12s in stores before, so I'll deal with trying to figure out what brands fit me in a 10. I just bought my first pair of dress shoes since surgery (6.5 months out), and I was surprised that it was a full TWO SIZES SMALLER! Holy moly.
aquitenonnymouse 206 Posted May 31, 2013 In addition to loosing fat in your feet/ankles, as you become lighter you are not compressing the bones in your feet as much. You may find you have a higher arch as you loose weight from your foot not flattening as much. 1 thesmilos reacted to this
