I spoke with the co worker and said it had been brought to my attention that she was telling people about my surgery and why was she doing that if we had agreed not to tell anyone. she said she was sorry and said she was jealous because she feels I always get what I want. I told her that that maybe the way it seems to her but that's not true because if that were the case I'd be a millionaire and not need a job! she laughed and I told her that I would support her for her to lose weight but that it would be hard for me to trust her again. and again she apologize and she said she is happy for me and appreciated the fact that I came to talk to her and not want to rip her face off. thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart for your advice and not letting my emotions get the best of me ;-)

There is something called employee confidentiality in many workplaces. She could be seriously reprimanded by doing something like this. Additionally, it shows other co-workers who thee can and can not trust.

I am happy that she apologized to you but if it happens again you should bring it up with your Human Resource dept.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
