I was sleeved three weeks ago and my weight loss is minimal. I'm lucky if I loose 1-2 pounds a week. Any recommendations or encouragement for me?

Search the forums for "three week stall". It happens to almost everyone.

keep up the great work. Your body needs time to recover - you'll start losing more in no time at all.

I stalled for an entire month and just broke the stall on Monday. Your body is basically in starvation mode right now because of the minimal amount of food your consuming. I am also a slow loser in general. At my 6 week check up I had only lost 22% of my excess weight and they expected me to be at 25%. What we have to realize is everyone is different and will lose at different rates. Give your body time to adjust. It most definitely will at some point. Good luck.

I'm almost two months out, and that's been my pace nearly the the entire time. I'm a revision (band to sleeve), and it's exactly what my surgeon predicted, with me staying between 600-800 cals most days.

Everyone's body is different. Your loss may speed up, it may not. The key is to stick with it, and avoid comparing yourself to others, IME.

Thanks everyone for your encouragement. I just wish family and co-workers would quit asking me how much weight I have lost every time I see them. I think this is why I feel so obsessed with the scale and my weight loss.

Wow, it's not really their business anyway. You can just say "I'm not sure, but I'm feeling great!"

Im with you girl! I am so frustrated now its beyond belief! I am 3 weeks, 3 days out and I have stopped loosing weight for 8 days now. I am down 11 since surgery, and lost way more on my pre op (17lbs). Its so frustrating because everywhere I look for advise I see/hear "You are probably not eating enough"...well eating more is not really an option is it??

At this point I am going back on liquids because food is too much of a hassle... I either get restriction pain or nausea.

Im not feeling very happy about my sleeve right now. :(

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
