Yes!!! I have a 4 yr old and her grandpa on her dads side (her dad is stationed in Colorado) offered to take her for 2 weeks while I recover. I loveeee my daughter but she loves jumping on me like I'm a jungle gym lol

My little boy is 3 and I'm never away from him. It sounds exciting to get to sleep away from him for a while, but I will probably be too worried that he's not sleeping well! At least the time I'm there I'll get to sit still a little bit and won't have 40 pounds of child doing flips off my back and shoulders all day! LOL!

I'm looking forward to walking into a place and not worrying about what kind of seats they have. I got a big ol' booty and hips so chairs with arms are no fun for me!

Same boat!! I have a 1&2 year old and never away from them. Can't wait to get some sleep but I know I'll miss them! Plus since I just had the two of them it seems so I hate staying in hospitals!

I have a 6.5 and a 1 year old. I've only spent a handful of nights away from the 6 year old and none from the 1 year old. Pretty sure ill have a family member watch them until its bed time and then send their dad to do bed time routine just so I will have peace of mind about them sleeping comfortably. When i get out of the hospital i will have mom and mother in law come over to do daily routines with them.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
