I don't like cream of whatever Soups alone. Butternut squash Soup is divine, however.

Cream of chicken was my favorite too, but I did mix it with skim milk and added Protein. Tomato basil was good too.

I love this line:

http://www.imaginefoods.com/products

You can find it at Fresh Market or Whole Foods (or I imagine most other "gourmet" grocers), or you can order online. They have the 16 oz or 8 oz sizes and they keep for a week. The creamy Soups have no lumps at all and are delicious.

When you say you can only have 2 oz, do you mean that's all you are ABLE to eat or that's all you're supposed to eat? Because I can already have way more than 2 oz of Soup in one sitting...

How far out are you? I am about 12 days and if I can get 1/4 cup in, I'm doing great!

I'll be a week out tomorrow. I can do about 4 oz. of Soup for a meal. Granted it takes me about 1/2 hour, but still :)

Don't worry. Some people's stomach swells more post-op than others. Just because you can down 4 oz. of soup now, it's no indicator of your final portion sizes when you get to solid food such as chicken or fish.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
