How much weight preop did low BMI'ers lose?

Starting preop-diet weight was 195 & I've only got 3 more days to go...I've only lost 5 lbs! My surgery is scheduled for May 31st! My preop diet consist of two Protein Shakes &a portion of Protein (meat) with two veggies as sides. I can also have healthy Snacks like sugar free Jello or greek yogurt. I'm doing what I'm suppose to but I'm not losing weight like everyone else has posted & its stressing me out! I've always been a dieter who loses slowly but the pressure is on to shrink my liver! I don't want my surgery delayed bc of this! So if ur stats are similar to mine can u pls share how much u lost on the preop diet or if u aren't having the success that everyone else is posting I'd love to hear from you so i know im not alone

I weighed 275 lbs and lost 15 on the 2 week liquid diet. You are so small that I think you are doing just fine. You will probably lose another couple before the 31st. Best of luck.

I didn't lose anything. I believe I only did 3 or 5 days liver shrink diet - I can't remember now. But total pre-op weight loss was only 10 lbs - in March I started trying to lose weight. By August I had only lost 10 lbs - that is when I decided to have the sleeve! Don't stress too much - in my case it wasn't a big deal that I didn't lose any weight on that liquid liver shrink diet- so for peace of mind, just call the surgeon's office tomorrow. I only had to do 1 day of Clear Liquids pre-op , so I can pretty much say that I lost ZERO prior to surgery.
