tinytears 32 Posted May 27, 2013 Just wanted to see if anyone else has or had the same feelings. I am 5 monthe post op and am thrilled to be down 79 lbs. already. I went shoppinf this weekend for some new cloths to get me thru the next couple of months cause everything is too big. I bought a size 14!! (from a 24/26) Everything looked great...until I took off the cloths and saw what a mess my body is! I know this was going to happen and I accepted it in my mind but every time I see it I get depressed. Hopefully in a year or so I will be able to have surgery to help get rid of some of the skin. Anyone else ever feel this way? If so how did you get through it? Thanks for letting me vent. 1 Jolly_Jumper reacted to this

rebecca_dsu 241 Posted May 27, 2013 Aw girl, you certainly are not the only one to ever feel that way. You know what...I have never met a woman who is perfectly happy with her body. We all want to change something no matter how healthy, skinny, etc. we are. Congrats on your amazing losses and your shopping spree! If you want to take the next step of making you feel better about your body (which is getting rid of the skin), then by all means go for it. It's your body...you do what is right for you, but keep on celebrating how far you've come! 2 skinnywithin and nsquared reacted to this

VSGKirk 855 Posted May 27, 2013 I go back and watch my pre-op video and then I take a look at my now loose skin in the mirror and smile What a journey this has been so far! 1 Ballermom reacted to this
LiggleLiggle 84 Posted May 27, 2013 We are very hard on ourselves.....others don't notice anywhere near as much as we do and most don't notice at all when we are clothed .
Ballermom 803 Posted May 27, 2013 I know how you may feel. But today I'm happy because I see a 2pack Abdomen on me . Lol On my way to a 6pack. I'm patiently waiting.
able2cope 193 Posted May 28, 2013 I know how you feel, but as the others said, we are healthier now... better to have the skin unfilled than filled... Congrats on the great loss so far!
amytug 996 Posted May 28, 2013 Yep. wrinkly boobs, saggy wrinkly tummy, fat thighs with you guessed it, wrinkles. Bat wings. Sigh. 1 leeann71 reacted to this
leeann71 539 Posted May 28, 2013 I think most of us all feel that way about our body lol. My problem is my butt has become very saggy like an 85yr old man:-(. Were not even gonna start about my belly.
skinnywithin 23 Posted May 28, 2013 u have to remember that what your body looks like right now on the outside isnt what u are on the inside. u are on a journey and there are going to be lots of up's and down's. remember the end result, imagine the feeling of when its all done. focus on the future to motivate the now. trust me when u get to end u will never regret it, and you will be happier then ever
