I'm so sorry you're going through all that! I was also sleeved 5/22 and had a few regrets myself - even without complications. Up until today, I couldn't swallow a sip without pain. That's finally going away. But day 2 I really wished I hadn't done this to myself. I still sort of feel that way when I'm hungry and all I can have is clear fluids or Protein Shakes - sooooo sick of all that. Keip your head up and I hope thing are better for you soon.

I've experienced chest pains fever and kidney infection...

I have a double kidney infection and complications with my spleen... Today my blood pressure was 90\45 I've never been that low so I'm very anxious...

I am really focusing on my Water first so I don't get dehydrated which is also bad for kidneys. I have started mixing Isopure clear Protein Drinks with water for a 2 for 1 combo. It's really hard in the first several days, I know. I'm feeling a little better each day - getting a little more in than the day before.

Isopure saved me the first week post op! It's not the best tasting stuff but it covers proteina and fluids. I promise it gets better. I had a problem with my spleen during my surgery. It started bleeding and I lost 1300ml's of blood and had to get a blood transfusion. It freaked me out that I really could have bled to death on the table but I'm 6 weeks post op now and feeling great. Straight Water is still a little rough to get down so I drink lots of Vitamin water zero. Focus on your fluids and every day you will feel better!

Hang in there it does get better.. I have not had any complications at all.. Im post op dec 20th.. its rough the first few weeks.. any surgery is.. but oh the rewards that are yet to come.. I cant tell you how much better I feel.. mentally and physically.. I got the thrill of my life when I went on a flight recently..and took my extra belt.. my hubby said you dont need that..but im like yes I might.. but he was right.. I wanted to cry right there on the plane.. there was even belt left over hanging 4-6in depending the plane.. I couldnt believe it even tho i was seeing with my own eyes.. and to shop for new clothes in the department im suppose to be in? priceless.. I still have some issues with some foods that my tummy doesnt like.. but oh well..its better than being fat and over weight and being laughed at or ridiculed because you cant fit on rides at the amusement park.. I wont ever go back to the person ever again.. Im having to much fun with people calling me skinny and that im gonna blow away if I dont stop losing.. but they are making me feel good.. Im not that skinny at all.. I have 53lbs to hit my goal wt for my ht.. but its been a great experience.. Ive learned how to eat better and not eat so much..and its ok not to finish whats on the plate.. so hang in there.. great things to come.. once that wt starts falling off you will see.. just make sure you are drinking enough and get that Protein and take your vitamins... best of luck to all of you.. Im having the time of my life :)

Kidney I think was bad luck I always had problems but the spleen apparently has vessels that need to get reconnected and one couldn't so cuts blood supply to the spleen

Were you re-admitted to the hospital? Sounds like you definately need some IV hydration and antibiotics. So sorry you are going through this. I too was sleeved 5/22. I was having a lot of chest pressure the first two days when trying to swallow, was an awful feeling but luckily has improved over the last couple days. Just dealing with 'head hunger'!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
