I was sleeved May 22nd and I've lost about 25 pounds so far. About 1/2 of that from my 1 week pre-op diet. I feel like I'm losing to fast (not complaining), but I really couldn't get my liquids in the last few days. This is day 5 and I'm finally feeling like I can drink enough. I'm also so tired all the time. Maybe once I'm on full liquids on Wed. this week I'll feel better. You're doing great!

I was sleeved on May 21st and I have lost 23 pounds. I lost 11 on the preop diet and I have lost 12 since coming home from the hospital! So, if you have lost 25 in two weeks, that sounds about right to me! Just remember, everyone loses differently, you can't compare your loss to anyone else's.

Again, everyone is different. But if I have lost 12 pounds in 4 days, I am pretty sure I will lose the same or more than you have in 2 weeks. Everyone looses differently. Just go with the flow and enjoy it. If you are that concerned, talk to your doctor.

I was sleeved on may 10th and have lost a total of 25lbs since the day of surgery. However I have reached my first stall. I have been at the same wait for a a few days now but I knew it was coming thanks to this site. It will start to come off more when I can do more I guess.. What I am struggeling with now is foods what to eat. I am someone who knows how to cook but I am not good with healthy cooking and I need to learn A LOT of new things.. I hope I can find something new quick.. any suggestions.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
