gettinbacktome 104 Posted February 28, 2014 Hi! I am new to the site. I am planning on working with Dr Gerald Cahill at Little Company of Mary in Evergreen Park, IL. I am in the process of waiting for insurance approval. All paperwork was submitted on 02/12/14. I know it hasn't been that long but I'm super anxious to find out. Good Luck to all and I hope everyone is doing well on this cold day! 3 Mokamami, Mocha2871 and FibroDiva reacted to this
ShrinkyDinkMe22 376 Posted February 28, 2014 New to the site got my surgery date of 3/18 at St. Alexin in Hoffman Estates with Dr. Guskey. Start with the preop shakes on Tues. Getting nervous and anxious. Wheaning off of some neuropathy meds cause can't get liquid forms so nerves are a little rattled. Anyone else ever use Dr. Guskey. Seems like a pretty compansionate guy. Cathy Hi Cathy, I didn't have Dr Guskey but I did have Dr Rantis. Sleever 12/12/12. All the drs at the Kane center are awesome. You'll do great.

Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you! We will probably be getting sleeved around the same time. It will be nice to have someone going through the same experience at the same time. cathyf 9 Posted March 10, 2014 Had pre-op physical on Friday work this week and have surgery on the 18th. On the Protein Shake diet, starting week two and it is getting easier, found that if I make it the night before and freeze it that it takes care of my need to chew something, didn't realize how much I missed chewing! Getting nervous and excited at the same time. I know I will be fine just want it over and on my way to my new sleeved life. Lucy in the Sky 10 Posted March 11, 2014 I am from Chicago.. I had VSG surgery 9/28/12, nearly ONE and a half years ago. Best thing I ever did!! No regrets or complaints, at all. To everyone who is pre-surgery = GOOD LUCK!!!!! To all who are post-op = I hope you're staying on track! For me personally, it's much harder nowadays. I've plateaued at a 'healthy' BMI of 24-point-something. Doc says I must switch up my workout routine in order to lose this last stubborn 10-15lbs, until I hit my final goal. Oh and I've been eating more carbs, no good!! Back to the basics now. 2 Scylla and Mocha2871 reacted to this
almosthome 91 Posted March 11, 2014 Congratulations, Lucy! It's encouraging to hear about your success and newfound health! Look how far you've come; you can totally manage those last 10-15 pounds. 1 Lucy in the Sky reacted to this
