It's not a matter of which one is better if you are going to travel to Mexico by land and you don't want to spend the money for a passport then pay the $55 for a pass card which can only be used for land travel . lexysdad04 43 Posted June 4, 2013 I had my surgery on 3/11 I didn't have enough time to get my passport because I wanted to get this surgery before I spent my tax return, any way my wife n I both just took our drivers lic and original birth cert and we were able to cross back into the USA and when we crossed into Mexico they didn't even check us Sent from my iPhone using VST Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
