mistynails 0 Posted December 18, 2006 I was wondering if someone could tell me the symtoms of band slippage. I have a friend who is banded as well and she has been having some problems eating and keeping the food and some liquids down. She has been banded for 10 months and she is filled to where she needs to be. Some days she is fine and then she has some days where she just cannot eat. She is afraid that maybe her band has slipped or twisted. Is there anyone out there who can tell me if what she is going thru is normal or not. Thanks, Kim:confused:

I have been banded since August, and some days I can eat/drink alot and other days I can't. There are alot of factors involved. For me when I am stressed I can't keep a drop of Water down, but when I am relaxed, I could eat a horse. My surgeon told me this is normal. The band will tighten and loosen. I would recommend your friend call her sugeons office just to make sure.
beachgirl 2 Posted December 18, 2006 I agree. I went through that and eventually after a month had a slight unfill and glad I did. My doctor said that that was a good way to have your band erode into your stomach by being just a tad too tight. Be careful.
