Tonight is my husbands first night home, advise on where or how to sleep, position or anything? He isn't comfortable laying flat. He has done great other wise!

I was sleeved on Tuesday and have been sleeping in my recliner since I came home. Also took a nap propped up on the couch with tons of pillows!

Try a recliner. I started out in the bed and would go there after a few hours. I tried bed first on my back with pillows to make me more comfortable. I am not a back sleeper so it was hard. He may need help reclining back but it was much more comfortable.

Tell him to hang in there. It will get so much better.

To you, thank you for being a supportive spouse. My husband was my rock and I am so grateful for all he did for me and continues to do. I know how your husband must feel. :)

On the side....use a pillow up against the tummy for support when moving & things...good luck!

I was sleeved on Tuesday and had terrible gas pains my first night at home so I slept on my left side as best as I could. It was the most comfortable and actually I slept fairly well.

I'm 9 days out(5/14 surgery date) & last night was the first night I could lay flat in bed in any fashion. Prior to that, I slept in my recliner comfortably.

I slept in our recliner night 2-4. Was able to sleep in bed comfortably starting night 5 with the help of pillows propping my chest/head up higher than I normally like... but I woke up feeling good.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
