Lorraine_2013 11 Posted May 23, 2013 I did great day 1! Day 2 and 3 I've been so nauseas it's killing me. I even got sick once. They did send me home but I'm having a hard time taking anything in. Any suggestions? Help! Please!!
nanaspez 58 Posted May 23, 2013 The most important thing is to keep hydrated. I had a hard time even drinking Water, they only way I got my liquid in was eating ice chips and SF popsicles. I found at Walmart a liquid whey Protein that I wish I would have had at the beginning. I now just split it up in 3 doses and everyday mix 1 dose with lots of water for 14grs of protein. The bottle is 42g of protein but now that I am 6 mos post op I try to get my protein through food. But I would mix this liquid with water and freeze it to make ice chips or your own popsicles this way you are still getting some protein in as well. Good luck and keep us posted 1 Lorraine_2013 reacted to this
T'snewstart 251 Posted May 24, 2013 I would suggest you call your Dr.S office and get some medicine for the nausea. If you already are taking something then try to stay hydrated. As nanasez has said..... I hope you have some relief soon. The first few weeks were the worst for me. The nausea went away after that point. Best wishes 1 Lorraine_2013 reacted to this
HappyCat 70 Posted May 24, 2013 I was sleeved on May 6 and suffered days 3 to 5. I thought at the time I would never get through it, since it was so hard to get the liquids in. However, it got easier each day after that and the pain/nausea went away. Do your best to stay hydrated and think baby steps . You will be fine in no time
chrissilicious 11 Posted May 24, 2013 Thanks for the thread! I was sleeved on yesterday and having trouble digesting. It's not nausea, but pain when the liquid hits my stomach!! Ouch
