Ok now I feel bad. I'm two months out haven't ate anything I'm not supposed to butjust ate one Hershey kiss :/ I feel so guilty now ugh! I did look online and one serving is 9 kisses and it's 200 calories so I divided 200 by 9 and it was like 23 calories and 2.5 sugars is this totally bad ?? help!!

No more guilt! It is unrealistic to think we will not have those kind of days. For the most part it is best to stay away from empty calories. BUT, that being said we are human and do indulge from time to time. One kiss will not kill you..... Is that permission to eat the other 8 to reach the 200 calorie mark No Way. But, do not beat yourself over this. Just turn the page and take life day by day! You got this!

Um, it could have been much, much worse. Don't beat yourself up. I think you have more than earned ONE Hershey Kiss.

Thanks!(; I feel much better. I've lost fifty pounds so far plus working out three times a week. I won't beat myself up lol but I did feel guilty. One isn't to bad. I will not eat another lol. Thanks again.

You had ONE hersheys kiss ... you should be patting yourself on the back for showing restraint and having just ONE! If you feel bad walk out to your letterbox and back; you'd have burned it off by then ;)

You had one chocolate. That's a good thing not a bad thing.

I almost think it's better to have one tiny piece and feel satisfied than to never have any at all. Everyone is going to be exposed to foods they want but it's beat to have a morsel and be fine with that then to actively avoid and either make yourself miserable or binge later.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
