shays4265 26 Posted May 23, 2013 What should I wear after surgery. I do not own anything that is comfortable that I would wear in public. What should I buy for walking down the halls and after surgery that will be comfortable on my tummy?

dma2013 99 Posted May 23, 2013 Yoga pants and I bought undies that were a size too big because of swelling and such. I could not wear a robe in the hospital due to the IV so I used 2 hospital gowns but they did unhook the IV for a little while and let me put a sports bra on. rewind 39 Posted May 23, 2013 The last thing you want to do is spend money on something you will wear just a couple times because it will be TOO BIG! Some people just wear a hospital gown, and another one reversed, so they don't bring in anything. And that is fine. If you want something else, opt for some comfy pajama pants or light sweatpants. You will need the hospital gown on top because you will have an IV. Get some slippers with some grip on the bottom. You will need to walk as much as possible and you don't want to slip. Hospitals offer slipper-socks, but they are one-size-fits-all and not very comfortable.
