Hey, I'm a little over 2 months out.

For some reason, I've gained 7 pounds over the last three days. I haven't changed much in my diet. Still under 1000 cals a day. Still 70+ grams of Protein. I'm getting in plenty of fluids. Is this sort of gain normal?

I have a fluctuation in my weight. One day it's at 143 and the next day it could be 147lbs. So frustrating. Your 7 lbs is most likely Fluid retention. But to be on the safe side, call your surgeon's office and run it by them. It doe pay off to be proactive. :)

It is for me to gain weight for no reason. For the past month, twice I've picked up between 3 and 4 pounds, then lose it (plus a pound or so) over the following 2 weeks.

I can be a few things and yes I have gained weight then lost it in a week. It could be you are not getting enough Water in and your body is holding on to whatever can. It could also be that you're gaining muscle. been stuck at the same weight for about 2 weeks now but when I went to the doctors my BMI is down and muscle was up. So everything is still going great. I rather be 255lbs with muscle than 255lbs with fat.

I am the same way, I think it depends a lot on what you are taking in and if it causes Water retention. I actually went from month 7-9 with about a 5 lbs gain but have since lost all of the gains plus an additional 3-4 lbs over the last 3 weeks. So, I think it is normal for fluctuation and extended stalls the further you get out and the closer you get to goal.

I have been reading about severe calorie deprevation taking out muscle with fat. When you are a little ways out you begin eating more and the muscle comes back on, increasing the scale report.

You have "lifter" in your name. Muscle building makes the scale jump up and down like an angry kangaroo. Let him fume. Water retention from muscle pumps is a given. The fat leaves though, muscle comes back on with it's calorie burning obsession and stands guard against any fat re-infestation.
