cfalamillo 0 Posted December 17, 2006 I had my band put in place in October and am just about ready to go in for my 3rd fill. Finally my band is working...I am losing weight again, and I am feeling really proud. The downside, I am starting to hate eating! I didn't like it before, I would rush through meals, but I thought it was because I hated the headspace I would send myself into. Negative talking etc. Now I just hate how I feel after eating - the hard stops (there are quite a few now as I adjust) or trying to eat on the run is impossible. I do this a lot I was hoping that it would change after the band. Is anyone else going through this has anyone else survived this? How did you figure out how to get beyond it and to eliminate the negativity attached to eating? I suppose coming here is a good first step. Thanks to everyone who decides to post a reply. I suppose one can't through such a life altering experience alone can they? All the best!
flabuless 18 Posted December 17, 2006 Welcome Cfalamillo Congrats on your Lapband...So how much weight have you lost so far! Lapband certainly gives us a new relationship with food doesn't it...I still love my food though despite . LBT is a great place for support, advice and information and just to get things off your chest so you have come to the right place...no need to do it alone as you say...please keep us posted. becky
GayleTX 1 Posted December 17, 2006 Christy......please go to Controls and add your stats to your signature edit. That will help people give you appropriate answers and info for any questions you may have in the future. Your feelings about food will change many times as you go thru this journey. At 9 mo.out, I'm making peace now with the things I can/can't eat. Just make the right and healthy choices and you'll be so successful that food won't hold the power over you that it once did. Best wishes!
