minnie78 17 Posted May 22, 2013 Hi I am 12 weeks post out and I'm just wondering if we can eat cashews? Are they good or bad for us?

joatsaint 2,814 Posted May 22, 2013 I was eating nuts after week 5. They have some good things about them, but are very high in calories and can be a slider food. Just be careful of eating too many - as far as the calories go. I love sunflower seeds and can easily eat a sleeve of them - 1 1/4 oz.. That's about 300 calories. 1 magpie30 reacted to this
magpie30 187 Posted May 22, 2013 Nuts are a good healthy food to eat they provide lots of good things for your body, including Protein. But as joatsaint said, they are very high in fat and calories, so just make sure you don't overdo it. Almonds and Pistachios are some of my favorites, and i use them as Snacks between meals. I can only eat about 5 almonds, and 7 or 8 Pistachios, so it's all good.
lilbearzmom 584 Posted May 23, 2013 I have been eating cashews and nuts since week 8. I freaking love cashews, so I try not to keep them in the house. I just love their buttery goodness....
*susan* 1,709 Posted May 23, 2013 Personally, I am addicted to Fresh Markets honey roasted almonds. Great boost of energy and source of Protein. Sent from my iPad using VST

newat52 1,613 Posted May 23, 2013 Have you tried dry roasted edamame? If you love nuts you may love these as well. They are so good and crunchy. 1/4 cup has only 130 calories and 14 grams of protein!
