kulita 243 Posted May 22, 2013 No, For the liquid diet it is anything you can drink through a straw and turns to liquid form in your stomach. This is Protein shakes, Jello, ice pops, juice, Water, strained Soups and broths, milk... etc The Beans are not allowed in the liquid phase unless your Dr instructed you otherwise. SHORTDOG 27 Posted May 22, 2013 When do we start this liquid diet? and for how long? I am gonna meet with my surgeon on Friday, should i start now? and what about my Vitamins? nervousnellie 50 Posted May 22, 2013 Your doctor's office will give you their approved plan. Most, it seems, do a 2 week pre-op liquid diet that includes a lot of Liquid Protein. Some doctors do not require this. Your surgeon should also arrange for you to meet with a nutritionist to explain their requirements.
