Purrplelover 48 Posted May 22, 2013 So today is my pre-op with my PCP and my EKG. I know it is nothing to worry about, but I so excited to have this surgery that I am freaking myself out! I am so worried she will find something that my blood pressure is higher than ever. I know I will be fine, but I having some jitters about this. I almost feel like am idiot. Shawn Morrison 71 Posted May 22, 2013 My BP jacked up a bit during that appointment. I think they understand that to a certain extent. You will be fine I'm sure. If you are on meds for it just make sure you have taken then and you should do fine. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Purrplelover 48 Posted May 22, 2013 I am not on meds. My blood pressure is usually 110/70ish. Today it was 166/95! Yikes. It has come down some though. That is a good thing. Last time I took it it was 149/84. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
cms213 119 Posted May 22, 2013 What's funny is my blood presure was just high enough for insurance for that to be one of my co mobilities and ever since I've been approved its been normal! Maybe my body was helping me out and wants the surgery as well. There will be a lot of exciting and nerve racking times in the pre-op process. Good luck! Purrplelover 48 Posted May 22, 2013 Cms 213 Well, by the time I got to the appointment I was able to relax myself quite a bit. B/P was 117/84. That was good! CMS213, wow!
