I regret it. I have gone into detail on several threads dealing with regret such as "Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?" If you want to know any specifics, please private message me & I'd be happy to talk with you about it. I haven't had any complications, so please don't think it is anything like that; I've been lucky, it isn't. In a nutshell, I miss the old me, my old life, unhealthy or not. I don't feel like me at all now. I am not me & it isn't a good feeling.

Please make sure wls is for you. There's no going back.

Best of luck to you. Do what is best for you.

For me the first 2-3 weeks was horrible, but now on week 4 its so much easier. I was in a lot of pain, hard time eating and drinking and temptation for my favorite foods was horrible. But now the pain is gone, I can take my Vitamins, and walk around without as much exhaustion. I spoke to my doctor and he told me that the 1st month is full of regret and by 3 months you feel its the best thing you've ever done. I can certainly see that in my future :)

The first couple of weeks I regretted it - I was SO tired' date=' couldn't eat, threw up a lot. Turns out my sleeve was too tight. Once that was fixed, I bounced back quickly! I am 6 months out and am almost 100 lbs lighter. I'm training for a 5k this August. I have confidence and am loving every inch of myself.

It's not easy, but it is SO worth it! Literally, this is the best thing I have ever done for myself.[/quote']

How was your sleeve fixed? I'm having similar issues and had a metal stent put in and it is not helping at all! How soon after they fixed your sleeve did you start improving?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
