mirrim58 33 Posted May 21, 2013 I'm scheduled for surgery this Thursday 8am. Tomorrow's my last day of work for 3 weeks. I'm getting a little nervous, but I'm excited too. I've been on liquids/soups for the last two weeks and I'm ready to move forward. Who else is getting sleeved on Thursday?

mirrim58 33 Posted May 26, 2013 I'm two days out and just got out of the hospital. I'm feeling pretty good. It's a challenge to get the Water and Protein shake in, but I'm just sipping as often as I can. Luckily they were able to do the surgery laparascopically, so I'm not as sore as I would have been with an open incision. I'm looking forward to actually sleeping tonight instead of being woken up every hour or so at the hospital. I did put on a couple pounds - others have said it's due to the constant IV hydration in the hospital. I have been spending some time walking, it helps with the gas and aches and pains. Did 33 laps around the hospital floor yesterday. Today I'm just walking around the block. My house is small so if I want to walk it must be outside. I was really lucky that I didn't have nausea after surgery. I'm just trying to learn how much I should have with my sleeve. So far I just take a sip or 2 then wait 10 or 15 minutes and do it again. Best of luck to you for your May 31st surgery! 1 MizzouGirl reacted to this
