brandy88 151 Posted May 20, 2013 Yesterday my 11yr came home from his grandparents and hugged me and said hey mom I can fit my arms all the way around you. I was sad at first thinking I was so big my child couldn't hug me? And then thought not anymore. 5 MIJourney, FeeIsMe2, Ms skinniness and 2 others reacted to this

My surgery date is june 6 and I can't wait to be able to have that happen to me too ! It makes it all worth it!!
brandy88 151 Posted May 20, 2013 I totally understand my kids have always known me fat, and really started getting to me when my 4yr was telling me I was fat or your belly is big. I would tell him that's not nice , but kids have no filter and are way more truthful than adults.
Ms.AntiBand 2,984 Posted May 20, 2013 Yep.. children can be brutal reality checkers at times. God bless them of course, but it still hurts. OP... This is just NSV #1 with many to come! Yippee!
Aubreanna 22 Posted May 20, 2013 This thread is my life! My daughter says the same thing! She is 5. I only got hurt when she said that she wants one of my friends to be her mom because she is skinny. Now that I'm losing she gets excited for me when I lose and she plays "the biggest loser" with me and I'm the contestant. Kids definitely are brutally honest. 1 brandy88 reacted to this
