DEZ1975 170 Posted May 19, 2013 I had my breast reduction and lift, insurance approved, last week. The surgery was 4.5 hours and outpatient. I was a 40 F before the sleeve and a 36 DDD before the reduction, after losing 75 lbs. The surgery wasn't too bad. There isn't as much pain as I thought but I'm so wiped out! I should've taken more than a week off work. I've posted some pics so that you can see what I week post op looks like. Not as gruesome as you'd think. I have a lot of swelling, especially laterally. That will take about 6 weeks to go away. I also posted two "before" shots. Although embarrassing, it was helpful to me to see other people's photos. Sorry that a couple are upside down. I have no clue how to fix that. 11 MrsPierre, M2G, vogue and 8 others reacted to this

NikkiC 37 Posted May 19, 2013 Thank you for sharing - you look great! Do you mind if I ask how you got your insurance company to pay for it? 1 docbree reacted to this
DEZ1975 170 Posted May 19, 2013 Thank you for sharing - you look great! Do you mind if I ask how you got your insurance company to pay for it? I complained to my primary care about neck and back pain, and rashes. He took some pics and got a referral approved to a PS. Then the PS took measurements, pics, asked me tons of questions and then submitted for approval. I was so thrilled! It will take a few months for all the swelling to go away and to have a normal shape, but I'm already so pleased. Who knew I had a torso under there lol? 4 kw2walker, GoldyGirl, Brenda0928 and 1 other reacted to this
southernsoul 773 Posted May 19, 2013 Thank you so much for sharing these, and I hope they don't get taken down! I'm getting sleeved next month & I'm a 44F. I am worried about what will happen to the poor girls, but figured I would just have to suck it up & deal. It's good to know that there's at least a possibility I might be able to get a fix covered by insurance. You look fantastic! 2 kryssaboo and kw2walker reacted to this

NerdyMHC 76 Posted May 19, 2013 Those babies are going to look fantastic once they are all healed up! I am super jealous! What size are you now? Thanks for sharing! It gives me something to look forward to one day. I was 44 DDD before I started and I know I need to get fitted because they are smaller, but man are they sagging! mokee 588 Posted May 19, 2013 What size did you get down to? How much pain was there? Thinking of having this done next year.

Right now I feel like a D. 1 BuriedBombshell reacted to this
DEZ1975 170 Posted May 19, 2013 What size did you get down to? How much pain was there? Thinking of having this done next year. The pain wasn't nearly as bad as anticipated. I'm very sore, but I only needed Percocet for 3 days, then Tylenol did the trick. Mostly I am exhausted. Take at least 2 weeks off work if you do this. inarakatra 51 Posted May 19, 2013 I'm currently the same size as you. I know that I will have to have this done after my surgery. Thanks for sharing and I really hope they don't take it down because I know other women will want to hear and see the results. You do look awesome thanks! 2 kw2walker and HappyCat reacted to this
