Ok, I was sleeved May 6th 2013 and am able to work out. I been walking 1 mile day and do 5 lb dumb bell arm exercises, and do Pilates leg work out! All daily for few days now. Im also using Palmers Co Co Butter for stretch marks and firming skin. I'm wondering if there is anything else I can do to tone up the inner thighs and under arms! I am terrified of having saggy skin, any ideas will be greatly appreciated

I heard coconut oil was great in helping firm up the skin.... I bought some, so I hope it is true!!! They have huge tubs of it at GNC for like $50 smaller ones for $30

I sure hope that stuff works for you.. ive always been told there is nothing you can do for it.. but hey one can hope right? I too have the palmers for toning skin.. when I read that it would work I stopped using it.. talked to a surgeon..and he said nothing will help other than getting the tummy tuck..the arms down.. sort of an overhaul on the body.. im only worried bout my stomach right now.. yes there is much saggy skin.. so in a year or so.. I will have that taken care of..and get more of a shape to me.. other than round LOL. then my hubby says I can get my breasts lifted too if I wanted to.. no additives or anything just lifed and skin tightened.. so that will be cool.. but Ive a long ways to go for all that.. I want to have my wt maintained before all of that.. Im really excited about the future for me.. its been a great journey.. worth everything Ive been thru.. hope your will be too.. might try the coconut oil tho in hopes of that working.. let me know if it does. :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
