This is normal. The only thing that sucks with the hernia repair is increased tightness and gas.

Just be ready for insane gas and anything u swallow including pain meds add more gas.

Sorry for your experience. I had a hernia repair, too, but, fortunately for me, had no gas pains whatsoever.
