meglynmin 0 Posted May 19, 2013 Hi, before I begin, I just want to say hi. I've been reading for awhile but haven't posted but one other time and I think that was last week! So I got my approval letter today! YAY! My first question, what does "date of admission/service" mean? It's listing May 28th, 2013 as the date of service. My pulmonologist appointment isn't until June 10th. Not to mention May 28th is next week! This surely can't be my surgery date, can it? It also says that I was approved for services/procedures in an Outpatient Hospital setting. Again, can anyone tell me what that means? It would be wonderful if my doctor's office was 24 hours
MizzouGirl 148 Posted May 19, 2013 Congrats meglynmin! My letter had a "filler date" too. When I asked my doctor's office, they said they just put something in there for the approval and will send an update to the insurance company once the real date is scheduled. I did get a 2nd letter from the insurance company once this was done with the correct date. Hope this helps and congrats again.
